Sea Breeze

정의

시 브리즈(Sea Breeze)는 크랜베리 주스와 자몽 주스, 보드카가 들어있는 칵테일이다.

유래

‘바닷바람’이라는 뜻을 가진 이 칵테일은 1920년대 후반 처음 만들어졌다. 처음 만들어졌을 때에는 보드카 대신 진(Gin)을 베이스로 하고, 크랜베리 주스와 자몽주스 대신 석류시럽을 넣어 만들었다.[1] 1980년대 미국 서해에서 유행을 타기 시작한 이 칵테일은 알콜 도수가 8도로 매우 낮아서 여성들에게 인기가 좋다고 한다.[2]

시 브리즈와 영화〈프렌치 키스(French Kiss)〉

시 브리즈(Sea Breeze)는 영화〈프렌치 키스(French Kiss)〉에서 주인공 멕 라이언이 프랑스 해변에서 바닷바람을 맞으며 즐겼던 칵테일이기도 하다.[3]

조주법

하이볼 글라스에 얼음을 채운 다음, 보드카 4cl, 크랜베리 주스 12cl, 자몽 주스 3cl를 넣고 바 스푼으로 천천히 섞어 레몬이나 라임 웨지로 장식해 마무리 한다.[4]
