정의
홀스 네크(Horse's Neck)는 브랜디(혹은 버번)과 진저에일을 섞어 나선형으로 깎은 레몬 껍질을 넣은 칵테일이다[1]
유래
레몬필이 넣어진 모습이 말의 목을 연상시킨다고 하여 이름 붙여졌다. 1890년대 진저 에일과 얼음, 레몬필을 넣은 논알콜 칵테일이 등장했다. 1910년대부터 여기에 브랜디나 버번이 더해지며 Horse's Neck 이란 칵테일로 변화했다. [2]
조주법
사용된 베이스에 따라 위스키 홀스 네크, 진 홀스 네크 등으로 이름이 바뀐다. [3]
재료
- 4 cl brandy
- 12 cl Ginger Ale
조주법
- 브랜디와 진저에일을 직접 하이볼 글라스에 각얼음과 함께 넣고, 스터한다. 그후 레몬껍질을 나선형으로 잘라서 첨가한다. 기호에 따라 Angostura bitters를 몇방울 첨가한다.
